Trying on Victorian clothes

On Friday, Mrs Palmer and her daughter came in to class to talk about their family history. We learnt that their family made some very famous biscuits called Palmer biscuits. These were first produced in Victorian Times. We also looked at some tins that were created to store the biscuits for safe travel if customers were travelling by horse and carriage. We were then fortunate enough to try on some original Victorian clothes!

Development of Bishops Park

We visited an exhibition in Fulham Palace on Monday. We saw a plan of the development of Bishops Park. The developments begun in late Victorian Times. We are learning about how our local area changed during these times and we looked at maps of the area from the 18th and 19th/early 20th centuries. We were also interested to see photos of people at the beach in Bishops Park during Victorian Times!
