World Book Day

We celebrated World Book Day by coming to school dressed as a character from a children's book. There were so many fantastic costumes. See how many characters you can see . . .
We also had a visit from an author - Annabel Claridge and a yarn spinner called Jim MacCool. They were both very inspiring and we enjoyed listening to their tales. During the week we carried out lots of other book related activities, as well as watching a show of George and the dragon and took part in some drama workshops too. We read with the nursery children one afternoon which was very special and we made a big class book to share in assembly. What a fun week we had!

skittleball

We love skittlball and some of us were lucky enough to enter a skittleball tournament at Hammersmith Town Hall. Unfortunately, we didn't win but we had a good day and were good team players.

The Egyptian Gallery

We visited the British Museum to see the Egyptian gallery. The day was spent sketching the exhibits as well as making notes about what we had seen. We had a great time there.

A visit from a dentist

We have been learning about our teeth and keeping them healthy. A local dentist came in to talk to us about cleaning our teeth properly and we got to ask him lots of questions about teeth!
